This course introduces students to research approaches and methods in the study of language, literature, translation, and TESOL. Students will learn how to formulate researchable questions, review literature, select and apply appropriate methods, and present their findings ethically and creatively.
Through the semester-long Community of Belonging project, students will work in teams to investigate factors influencing engagement with English Studies in Indonesia. They will submit a proposal at midterm and present their findings in the end-of-term Ukrida Student Symposium: Voices of Belonging
